May 2009. A request from the Federated States of Micronesia fo rhte identification of this creeping weed.
It was identified as Triumfetta procumbens, a member of the Tiliaceae. It’s a creeping littoral, subwoody plant, native to the Pacific Islands and is ususally found not far from the sandy shorelines of most islands from Micronesia to Polynesia. It’s potentail as a weed is limited.
