March 2009. A weed was reported to be newly established on a grass verge in Bondi Junction, New South Wales, Australia, and an identification was requested.
It was identified as Salpichroa oreganifolia, a member of the Solanaceae. It is a perennial weed that usually grows in modified soils. It is said to be common in Argentina. It was suggested that it can be controlled with 2,4,D.
