| December 2008. A legume weed from Tonga. The shrub is approx 3-4 m tall with very dense foliage. It looks similar to Mimosa pigra, but the flowers are white and the stems are not prickly.
It was identified as Desmanthus pernambucanus. There are images at:

It appears to be a new record for Tonga, but it is common in many other Pacific countries.
