April 2005. A scorpion found at the port in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
It appears to be the bark scorpion, Liocheles australasiae [Ischnuridae] which is widespread in the Cook Islands. It lives under bark and debris, and is thought to be parthenogenic. It is commonly found on Guam, too, in trees and bushes.
