July 2009. A moth from the Cook Islands.

Geometridae, Geometrinae. Possibly tribe Geometrini, allied to Comostola or Comibaena, though the literature for Borneo and Australia was not helpful. The dark jade ground colour is typical of the genera Thalassodes and Pelagodes, though the hind wing shape lacks the produced or tailed tornus.

There was also a Comostola or Comibaena suggestion. And as nothing on the web was found to be close, Cook Islands decided to leave it as Comibaena nr.
