January 2005. Specimens in the photographs were collected by the plant protection unit in Jamaica as follows:
Fig.1 – On wooden pallets from Thailand (container carrying cylinders); Fig.2 – On wooden pallets from India (container carrying tiles); Fig.3 – Collected from green ginger (country of origin?).
Members identified Fig.as Sinoxylon conigerum, and Fig.2 be Sinoxylon anale that has a lateral carina at declivity, but Fig.1 does not have the ridge Hainan, China reported that interceptions of these are common on wooden pallets imported from Thiland and Malysia.
