September 2007. The insect illustrated was collected from banana in the north of the Maldives.

From the photos appears like a lacebug (Tingidae) Stephanitis typica (Distant) Homoptera:Tingidae), a widely distributed pest species in the Oriental region to Japan and east to Papua New Guinea.
