February 2003. Immature stages of the insects illustrated are causing galls underneath the leaves of Pisonia grandis and creating concern on the island of Cousin, a Seychelles Nature Reserve. Using available keys it was believed to be a Fulgoroidea larvae belonging to the family Ricaniidae. (A feature that can hardly be seen here, is that the 2nd segment of hind tarsi is small, apically pointed and without spines).
