February 2013. An egg parasitoid of the brown planthopper,Nilaparvata lugens, the most serious insect pest of rice. I think it may be a Tetrastichussp. (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae). Could any one confirm the species of this parasitoid?
The pictures are those of Tetrastichus schoenobii. It is an egg parasite/parasitoid of the rice stem borer Scirpophaga incertulas. The known and common egg parasite/parasitoid of the brown planthopper in Thailand is a mymarid Anagrus optabilis, which is very small. It is one of the smallest parasitic Hymenoptera.
