Non-Pests Insects Psocid webbing, does it occur? Hawaii
|
Octobr 2003. A question from Hawaii, does anyone know of a psocid that makes an excessive amount of webbing of the bark of trees?
A member in the Galapagos Islands mentioned that Archipsocus spinosus Thornton produces large sheet webs on several tree species, including Acacia and Parkinsonia. It was introduced in the late 1960’s.
