July 2006. This snail, photographed in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia, was identified by David Robinson (USDA) as likely to be Paropeas achatinaceum (L Pfeiffer, 1846). It is a member of the Subulinidae. According to farmers, the snails appear in large number and cause significant damage to Chinese cabbage.
