August 2010. Insects were found on a Jatropha in north-central Vietnam, about a week after the rains began. There appears to be eggs on the leaf.
They were thought to be nymphs of Tectocoris or some related Scutellerid. Is there a large shiny bug; if so, take a photo.
Another member thought they were immature stages of either Calidea panaethiopica: http://www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/calidea_panaethiopica.html
or
Chrysocoris stolli (identifed here in India on Jatropha: http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/archive/showphoto.php/photo/78554).
Both are Scutellerid bugs and both are reported on Jatropha, the first one more in Africa and the second one in Asia. They have been reported as being extremely damaging as they bore into the fruits.
