September 2011. A rice bug from the Philippines sent for identification.
A member said tha the large legs suggested a nabid, but if it is not that then it’s a lygaeid bug. The name of an expert in the Philippines was suggested as well as to look at Heindrich’s book on rice insects. EA Heinrichs, Barrion AT (2004) Rice-feeding insects and selected natural enemies in West Africa: biology, ecology, identification. IRRI. See, books.irri.org/9712201902_content.pdf
