The recommended control in India is:

Spray two rounds of one of the following: acephate 75SP @ 1 g/litre; phosalone 35EC @ 1.5 ml/litre; carbaryl 50WP 2 g/litre; phosphamidon 40SL 2 ml/litre of water. The first spray should be at the time of panicle emergence and the second 2 weeks later. Wettable sulphur @ 2 g/litre may be sprayed after spraying carbaryl to avoid mite resurgence.
