Pheromones, Conogethes punctiferalis

June 2003. A question was asked about the distribution of Conogethese punctiferalis. The respondent was sent the relevant parts of the CABI Crop Protection Compendium. However, it was of interest to note that at MARDI, Malaysia, work on C. puntiferalis is being done on the sex pheromones for this insect to be used as a monitoring tool in durian orchards. The moth is a pest in Malaysia and Thailand on durians, and on peach in Japan.
