Whitefly distribution, Pacific

November 2004. Samoa asked about whiteflies reported in the country. This was brought about by an outbreak on tomatoes.

A survey was carried out in many pacific countries by SPC/CSIRO/ACIAR in 1996/97; the survey looked particularly for the presence of Bemesia tabaci biotype B. A report has been sent to all the countries surveyed.
