| February 2009. A photo of caterpillars taken at Polomolok, Mindano, the Philippines. One common name is “itchy worm” – not suprising considering the family. A publication from the University of Philippines lists two Lymantriidae species: Lealia suffusa and Dinara combusta.
There was only one suggestion: caterpillars of the moth Euproctis. In India, they are seen on the flowers of many species, including papaya.
