October 2010. This diplopod was collected from a compost heap at Lelu, Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia. It’s got a strong odour. A preliminary ID was requested.

A member from the Cook Islands said that it looked more like Asiomorpha coarctata (Asian millipede) than Oxidus gracilis – see photo (right). Both species are on the Cook Islands biodiversity database:
