October 2006. The species illustrated was found in Benin, West Africa, near a forest the costal zone. According to local farmers it may be harmful to chickens if ingested.
It is a Veronicellidae species; unfortunately, these species generally cannot be identified without dissection. Identification is done by drowning the specimen(s) in water, transferring to 75% ethanol, and then checking the diagnostic genitalia, if mature.
