February 2000. Mole crickets are a problem on golf courses and in some crops. The Northern Marianas Islands is one country where problems occur with heavy infestations. Several insecticides were suggested from the Northern Territory of Australia, with fipronil the most used. It has moderate to high toxicity. A new product based on natural oil has also been developed in Australia.
