Termites are never easy to control and chemical treatments are usually expensive. One suggestion was a Bayer product Admire (based on imidachloprid), used for termite control in fruit trees. Another member referred the questioner to BASF which has been assisting the government in Northern Territory, Australia, with termite problems in grape vines.
