January 2003. A request from Fiji for the identification of a caterpillar feeding on Thickhead foliage (Crassocephalum crepidioides) Asteraceae, a weed in disturbed places such as plantations and waste land.

A member identified it as the arctiid moth, Nyctemera baulus subsp. samoensis. It is in the collections at Koronivia Research Station. It was said to feed on a range of Asteraceae weeds.
